Increasing voter participation through nonpartisan voter education

Accessibility to election information is one of the most important drivers of youth voter turnout and turnout overall.

Texas Voter Project creates and distributes nonpartisan voter information directly to the doors of newly registered youth voters in Texas to increase voter awareness and participation in elections.

In 2020 young voters in Texas broke records.

Texas has one of the largest populations of young people in the nation: The median age of a Texan is 34, about three years younger than the national median. Millennial and Gen Z Texans are also more diverse than their national cohort. Young Texans have the power to determine the outcomes of elections.

Texas Voter Project creates the only comprehensive nonpartisan voter guide in the state.

No other nonpartisan voter guide in Texas provides candidate information down to the local level in both English and Spanish.

“Texas is not a red or a blue state, Texas is a voter suppressed state.”
